Former Assistant Minister Ananiah Mwaboza sold a plot he was given using fake documents, a Mombasa court heard yesterday.

Former Gatundu North MP Patrick Muiruri told the court that the former Kisauni MP used forged documents to sell a plot belonging to their company.

Mr Muiruri, who is the chairman of Duatch Litley Holdings, was testifying before Chief Magistrate Rosemelle Mutoka.

Mwaboza and Roy Kenyali have denied that on December 22, 2009 in Mombasa County, they sold a five-acre plot at Sh20 million using forged documents. Lawyer Michael Oloo represents the former lawmaker while Mr Bernard Mate is leading the prosecution.

Mwaboza and Kenyali have also denied having used fake power of attorney and minutes of a meeting they claimed to have allowed the sale of the land. Muiruri told the court the purported minutes the accused persons used in the process of selling the plot were fake.
