Revealed! How much Conor McGregor will take home after defeat to Floyd Mayweather

Floyd Mayweather to earn at least $100m from Conor McGregor fight

Conor McGregor wasn't exactly short of money before he agreed a deal to fight Floyd Mayweather on Saturday.

The Irishman had already established himself as the highest-paid athlete in the UFC where he won first the featherweight, and then lightweight titles.

But even the 29-year-old from Crumlin will have untold riches after this weekend, regardless of the result at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Although McGregor is likely to earn less than his opponent, he is guaranteed to take home $30million and it could eventually top $100m - his record purse by a country mile.

His fight with Mayweather, which pits the mixed martial artist against one of the best boxers of all time, has grabbed the attention of fight fans across the world.

It is all set to be the richest bout ever, even eclipsing Mayweather's win over Manny Pacquiao in 2015.
