Three Kenyan athletes are in trouble with the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU).
Kenyan middle and long-distance runner Tabitha Gichia Wambui (39), provisionally suspended in February for the use of a prohibited substance (Norandrosterone), has now been banned for seven years.

Tests done on Wambui's urine samples submitted at the Copenhagen Half Marathon and the PKO Poznan (Poland) Half Marathon in 2021 reported an "Adverse Analytical Finding" for the presence of metabolites of Nandrolone (or Nandrolone precursors) consistent with the exogenous origin, namely 19-Norandrosterone.

2018 Commonwealth Games bronze medallist Eglay Nafuna Nalyanya is facing charges for the presence or use of a Prohibited Substance (19-Norandrosterone) and tampering with any part of Doping Control by an Athlete.
26-year-old Nalyanya was set to represent Kenya in the World Athletics Indoor Championships held in Belgrade, Serbia in March, but had to pull out due to tests.

Another long-distance runner Philemon Kacheran Lokedi, has been provisionally suspended with immediate effect after tested positive for 19-Norandrosterone, a prohibited substance, interfering with parts of Doping Control by an Athlete.
