Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo has assured the residents of Kajiado County of the government’s commitment to their safety ahead of the festive season.

He urged the locals to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.

He spoke on Sunday, November 19, at St. Barnabas Catholic Church in Matasia, Kajiado North Sub-county, where he attended a church service with other leaders.

Omollo said that the government is working to enhance the security infrastructure in the county by addressing the shortage of police cars and improving the facilities of local police stations.

He said the move would be actualized in collaboration with community leaders to ensure a safer environment for all.

"We are working hard to ensure that our security officers have the necessary equipment and resources to protect you and your property. We are also engaging with the local leaders to identify and address the security challenges in the county,” he said.

The PS also announced that new sub-locations had been gazetted in Kajiado County, with the aim of bringing essential services closer to the people.

He said that the operational plans for the new sub-locations will commence within six months, and that this will reinforce the government’s commitment to the welfare of its citizens.

Among the leaders who accompanied the PS were Kajiado County Senator Samuel Seki Lenku Ole Kanar, MPs Onesmus Nguro Ngogoyo (Kajiado North Constituency), Samuel Sakimba Parashina (Kajiado South Consistency), Phelix Odiwuor (Langata Constituency), and Kajiado County Chiefs.
