Eight degrees discontinued at Egerton as redundancies begin

Egerton University is set to discontinue eight-degree programmes and let go of some of its staff in ongoing efforts to get the cash-strapped institution back on its feet.

It was a moment for a reality check among staff at the agricultural institution as the Vice-Chancellor (VC), Prof Isaac Kibwage, announced the various parameters to be applied while declaring redundancies.
