Agnes Kavindu: The new Machakos Senator-elect

Wiper Party's Agnes Kavindu Muthama was declared the winner of the Machakos Senatorial by-election on Friday. She garnered 104,352 votes against her closes competitor Urbanus Ngengele of UDA who got 19,726.

In her rare media interviews, Agnes Muthama identifies herself as a farmer and a preacher having preached through the Biblia Husema Broadcasting studios for over seven years up until 2017 when she immersed herself fully in politics.
