Sex worker tortured and killed in her rental house in Nakuru

Police have launched investigations into the murder of a 50-year-old sex worker in Nakuru town.

Nakuru Town East deputy police commander Phanton Analo said the body of the woman was discovered in her rental house at Racecourse estate.

The body was lying on the floor in a pool of blood and had injuries on the chest, mouth, thighs, neck and head. The eyes were gouged out.

“The body of the woman was found by an agent who had gone to collect rent,” said Mr Analo.

According to the police, the woman might have been tortured by assailants before being killed inside the house whose door was left open.

Analo said police are working with Directorate of Criminal Investigations detectives to search for the killers.

“We recovered a mobile phone belonging to the deceased that is being used to trace people she last communicated with and who can assist us in investigations,” said the officer.
