Kenyan boy stuck in India pens emotional message to Uhuru

Ethan Macharia, a four-and-a-half-year-old boy who is in India for treatment, has penned a letter to President Uhuru Kenyatta asking for help.

Through his mother Veronica Njeri, Ethan stated that 14months ago he fell on his head while playing with his friends.

“It was very painful and it injured me badly. I was rushed to hospital.

“My life has never been the same for me and seizures have become part of my life,” he wrote.

Further, Ethan stated that he needs Sh3.5million for surgery that will rectify his condition.

“It will help me get better and I can come back home and go to school and play with my friends.

“I want to be a footballer when I grow up. Please help me to be better again,” he concluded.

According to doctors in India, the VNS surgery is extremely important for Ethan as the seizures are unable to be controlled even with multiple drugs.
