JKUAT to host scientific conference

Researchers, scientists and exhibitors from various parts of the world are set to converge for the International Scientific, Technological and Industrialization Conference and Exhibition at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), mid next month.

The two-day international conference which enters its 14th edition this year will be held on November 14 and 15, 2019, under the theme: Leveraging on Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship for Sustainable Development.

The conference has attracted researchers, scientists and exhibitors from across Africa and beyond.

Slated to be held at JKUAT Main Campus, Juja, the participants will deliberate on all spheres of life under various sub-themes including, basic and applied sciences for advancement of research and industrialization, advances in medical and veterinary sciences for quality life, engineering technologies, built environment and infrastructure for industrialization, information and communication technology and big data for development.

Other sub-themes include: policy, governance, entrepreneurship, cultural and socio-economic aspects for competitive advantage, agricultural sciences and technologies for sustainable food and nutritional security, as well as water, energy, environment and climate change management for sustainable development.

During the conference, organisations and individuals from various sectors will exhibit products/services and disseminate information.
