I told Cohen to leave Kenya but he refused — Tob Cohen’s brother-in-law

Dutch billionaire Tob Cohen’s body was found at his Kitisuru home on Friday, September 13, 2019, and his brother-in-law Roy Van Straten has revealed that he once advised the deceased to go back to Holland.

Speaking during a TV interview over the weekend, Roy stated that he asked Cohen to go back home but he refused since he had been in Kenya for a while already and loved the country.

Roy and Gabriele Cohen (Cohen’s sister) said that the deceased rarely talked about the troubles in his marriage with Sarah Wairimu and whenever he did, it was in a subtle way.

“I told him several times (why don’t you come back to Holland) but he said he would never do that since he had been in the country for almost three decades.

“He said, “I know more about this country than they do…it’s a young population” said Roy.

Not long after this, Cohen went online to open up about his troubled marriage.

In a video seen by Ureport, Cohen accused Sarah of inflicting injuries on him. A bleeding Cohen keeps mentioning Sarah’s name in the short clip.

Later Gabriele commented on the matter and alleged at the time, Sarah had pushed his brother down a flight of stairs before hitting him with a chair.

According to police, a valuable witness initially held as a suspect informed them that a linkman was used to hire the killers who waited for Cohen in his house on July 20, and killed him.

The same suspect is said to have led police to the scene where the body was found.
