Two women commit suicide in Gilgil
Life unbearableGilgil OCPD Emmanuel Opuru said a suicide note was found in one of the pockets in which she indicated life had become too unbearable for her. “The note tells her friends to take care of her three children who are in school,” he said. Mr Opuru said the body was taken to a local hospital mortuary. In the second incident, the body of a 48-year-old woman was found near Comboni Polytechnic hanging from a tree. According to James Kariuki, a neighbour, the mother of two worked in a local market selling belts and hats and it was not immediately clear what could have happened. “She was last seen on Saturday since it was a market day, but we are shocked by this turn of events that she has decided to take her own life,” he said. Opuru confirmed the incident saying her body had been taken to the local mortuary.
