Reprieve for Osotsi as Political Parties Disputes Tribunal gives him a lifeline in ANC

Nominated MP Godfrey Osotsi (pictured) yesterday got a reprieve when the Political Parties Disputes Tribunal issues conservatory orders staying the decision of Musalia Mudavadi’s Amani National Congress (ANC) party to expel him from the party.

Last week, ANC secretary general Barrack Muluka wrote to the speaker of the National Assembly informing him that Osotsi was no longer in the list of the party members.

Muluka’s letter follows the move by the Registrar of Political Parties Ann Nderitu to delist the Nominated MP from the list of Mudavadi party’s members.

Osotsi had filed a case under certificate of urgency seeking conservatory orders ahead of the hearing of the case where he is challenging the delisting by the RPP.

The Political Parties Disputes Tribunal also further stayed the decision of the registrar of political parties to delete his membership of ANC party.
