Police arrest actor accused of defiling form-two student in Nairobi

The Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) on Thursday announced that an actor accused of defiling a high school student in Nairobi has been arrested.

According to detectives, the suspect was positively identified by the victim and committed the offence in 2018.

Further, investigations revealed that the suspect was among a team of actors who had previously visited the victim’s school to perform plays.


“A 29-Year-Old Suspect who defiled a 16-Year-Old Form Two student in a school within Nairobi was on Tuesday evening arrested by #DCI Detectives based in Kilimani. The suspect, who has been positively identified by the victim, committed the offence on the morning of 2nd June, 2018.

“Initial investigations reveal that the suspect was among a Team of Actors that had previously visited the school to perform plays.

“Detectives handling the case are carrying out further inquiries including DNA analysis to scientifically link the suspect to the offence,” said the DCI.

Elsewhere, detectives on Wednesday recovered a pistol loaded with fifteen rounds of ammunition from the pit latrine of 49-year-old Lydia Njeri Mwangi.


The firearm had been reported stolen at Ruai Police Station in January 2019.

Upon arrest, the suspect led the sleuths to her pit latrine which they had to completely empty before the firearm was recovered.
