Over 50 families from Ndururumo farm in Solai, Subukia sub-county, Nakuru have been left homeless after their houses were demolished at dawn by a Nakuru based auctioneering firm as police guarded.
The squatters have been living in the controversial land said to be owned by Muhu Holdings for the last 50 years and claim they have no other place to call home.
They have been involved in a court battle for over 20 years now.
The squatters also claim that the Muhu family forcibly took the land after one white farmer, Briton Polland died.
They have been working in the farm but claim they have not been paid a single cent to date.
After the Tuesday morning demolitions, the squatters blocked the Solai-Bahati road forcing the police to intervene.
They have maintained that they will not move.
