Three suspects shot dead in botched robbery in Lucky Summer, Nairobi

Three suspected thugs were Wednesday morning shot dead and crude weapons found on them in a botched robbery in Lucky Summer area, Nairobi.

The men are said to have broken into houses at an apartment and started to terrorise tenants. Nairobi police boss Philip Ndolo said an alarm was raised and alerted police who were on patrol.

The officers responded there and managed to shoot dead the three while two others are said to have escaped on foot, Ndolo said.

Police say some of the household goods the group had collected ready to escape with were recovered. The bodies were moved to the mortuary.

Elsewhere, three men were arrested for allegedly stealing from a Chinese Water Tunnel Construction Company at Mairi site, Nairobi.

The arrest came after several items were earlier reported stolen from the company. The items were recovered from the men. This was after a breaking was reported at the construction site.
