Matiang’i; SRC, PSC, Treasury advised on new police allowances

Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i has defended the housing and commuter allowances for police officers, saying the figures were arrived at after consultations.

Matiang’i said the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC), National Treasury and the Public Service (PSC) Commission arrived at the figures before releasing them to the National Police Service (NPS) and Kenya Prisons Service for implementation.
