An Administration Police officer committed suicide yesterday only minutes after he talked about his financial problems with a friend. Muturi Njuguna, a friend, said the officer, 35, invited him to a construction site he had been guarding in Kandutura village and discussed loans. "He said despite the many loans, all the projects he undertook were failing. He felt sorry that he owned no property.” Njuguna said the father of two, who had his gun between his legs as they talked, pleaded with him to explain to his wife, who was in Nakuru, the situation he was in. Njuguna promised to help. However, the officer soon put the gun in his mouth and pulled the trigger.
