Police kill six suspected thugs in Thika Town

Six suspected thugs were shot dead in a botched robbery in Thika Town.

Thika, Kenya: Six suspected thugs were Monday morning shot dead in a botched robbery at a factory in Thika Town.

The suspects are said to have managed to gain access to Sunveat Industries in Makongeni area when police were alerted.

Police say they recovered some of the stolen goods and weapons from the suspects. Some of the suspects managed to escape on foot. The hunt on the other men who escaped on foot is ongoing.

Police explained that they had no option but to use force after the suspects started attacking them with crude weapons.

The number is huge to have been killed at the same spot.
