Former Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero was on Thursday morning arrested at his Muthaiga home.

Earlier in the day, Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) detectives had raided his home over graft claims and Kenyans swiftly expressed their reactions online.

In August, Kidero was arrested over alleged criminal activities involving Nairobi City County Government officials touching on the mismanagement and embezzlement of Public funds, according to the Office of the Directorate of Public Prosecutions and the EACC.
