Three Tanzanian nationals were on Friday arrested with heroin worth Sh30 million.

Police said the suspects had concealed the 10.02kg of heroin in three suitcases.

Sunday, Coast Regional Co-ordinator Benard Leparmarai said the heroin was to be sold in Kenya.

“The heroin is enough to supply over 200,000 people. That is enough to destroy a whole county. Then we will need a lot of money to rehabilitate the victims. I don't think we have that kind of money," he said.

The three were arrested in a residential estate.
