National Super Alliance (NASA) Coalition strategist David Ndii found himself on the receiving end after he made some remarks on President Uhuru Kenyatta on Monday, February 5. Ndii, who is a strong NASA supporter made the remarks on President Uhuru in a series of tweets that many of his followers disagreed with.
This is not the first time the economist who is a known critic of the Jubilee government is throwing a row with the President. He on December 7, 2017, lashed out to President Uhuru and his Deputy William Ruto. This was after he was released following his arrest on basis of being linked to plans to swear-in NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga on December 12, Jamhuri Day.
Dr. Ndii has not only been vocal about corruption, misrule, and extrajudicial killings among other economic and social ills, but also came out publicly to call for secession of a part of Kenya late last year. Secession was to exclude central Kenya and some parts of the former Rift Valley and Eastern provinces by the creation of the People’s Republic of Kenya.
His tweet caused an uproar on Twitter as many tweeps disagreed with his idea of attacking the President like that. He did not shy away from engaging some of them;
Hahaha....you sound soo desparate.....prof we just have to ignore you.youve lost your respect

Don't you think this is getting a bit too personal, anyway enjoy your day.— kristophekemboi (@Christo40144166) February 5, 2018
It must give you great pleasure and satisfaction from insulting the President. It is precisely the reason you will never rise beyond the level of an abusive irritant.

I thought according to you he is in office illegitimately, why should you care if he reports in whichever state. Deal with your office team...— WaKabera (@gkwamukandah) February 5, 2018
Mr.Ndii I don't know pains you about the president but I suppose what you want will never succeed.— Mwangi wa Wangui (@mwanesmwangi) February 5, 2018
Why are you focusing so much on the president of the republic of Kenya...Thought everyone should be happy now that Kenya is a dual sim.

Others agreed with him;
I thought this was a fact. If one was naked and you said so, it’s not an insult.

...when the going gets tough, only men with the resolve of protecting a motherland will remain sober and standing, while laggards, despot, impostors hid behind alcohol and an incentive to deal with a mirage rather than the reality at hand. Men stood their ground on 30th Jan 2018

It's unfortunate that the Kenyan masses are nothing wrong to have a drunkard giving illegal orders that infringe on their own safety and security. Who on earth would employ someone who is a known alcoholic addict???— Olé~Jáchigá (@TheBluntKenyan) February 5, 2018
