A 10-year-old boy was run over by a speeding lorry in Kirurumwe, Maara. The lorry heading to Nairobi from Meru County hit the boy as he was crossing the road.
A witness said the lorry driver did not break even though he had seen the boy. "The driver did not stop even after hitting the boy. This road is normally busy, with many people crossing.
