More than 50 players turned up yesterday for the Woodcreek School grading tournament.

The event is organised by the Private and International Prep Schools Sports Association (Pipssa) and was being used to identify talented players ahead of this year’s Dubai Cup in April.

The overall winners, Lukenya Academy, fielded three teams, two of which played in the final. Lukenya ‘A’ beat their ‘C’ counterparts 2-1 to win the overall trophy.

On their way to the final, Lukenya ‘A’ thrashed Premier Academy 4-0, while Lukenya ‘C’ hit Premier by a similar margin. [Gilbert Wandera]
