Locals will have to wait a little longer before Governor Sospeter Ojaamong names new county executives.

Governor Ojaamong has said he will unveil new County Executive Committee members (CECs) and chief officers after a petition challenging his victory is delivered on February 5.

The Standard has established that already, the governor has met with potential nominees.

Reports indicate that only three of the former county executives may be retained while seven are likely to lose their jobs.

The reports further say of the current 16 chief officers, only three are likely to survive.
