Opposition governor developed cold feet after arriving at Uhuru's ceremony

An opposition Governor from Western Kenya left his colleagues in panic when he disappeared into thin air on arrival at Kasarani Sports Complex during the inauguration of President Uhuru Kenyatta.

It is understood that the County Chief, a close ally of Raila Odinga may have changed his mind about attending the event on Tuesday when he was close to the venue.

After arriving at the main entrance of the stadium, the county boss slipped out of the pool bus that was ferrying Governors to the fete unnoticed and hopped into a matatu heading to the CBD.

His absence alarmed C.O.G chair Josphat Nanok who found himself to be the only opposition Governor at the president’s big day.
