Football: Thika Queens rout Mombasa Olympic

Thika Queens emerged Football Kenya Federation Women Premier League Zone A winners with a convincing 7-1 win over visiting Mombasa Olympic in a fixture that was played at Thika Sub-County Stadium over the weekend.

The win added their tally to 35 points from eleven wins, two draws and a single defeat. Makolanders have had an impressive season and are in the second place with 30 points following their 3-0 win over Soccer Queens in a fixture that was played at Utalii Grounds.

Spedag, who have had a disappointing season, are placed third on the table standing with 20 points, a point shy of Mombasa Olympic, who were set to play Kayole Starlets yesterday. [Rebecca Jebet]
