A lawyer has asked the High Court to expunge documents presented by a petitioner challenging the election of Governor James Ongwae that bear different names.

Okong'o Omogeni, who is representing Mr Ongwae in a petition filed by Jubilee Party Chief Agent in Kisii, Joel Makori Onsando, argued that some of the court documents presented to him had the name James Makori Onsando as the petitioner.

“This court cannot proceed while the petition documents presented to the advocates for the third, fourth and fifth respondents are different from those in court," he said.
