The 2017 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) results are officially out.
Candidates who sat for the exams can now check their KCPE results via SMS by sending their index number through the SMS code 22252.
The candidates can as well access their results by visiting the KNEC portal later in the day when it will be updated.
Better yet, the candidates can get their results in their respective primary schools soonest by tomorrow.
According to the results announced by Education Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang’i, public school’s performance has significantly improved as compared to previous years
Matiang’i stated that there were no cases of malpractice in the 2017 examinations and the number of students who scored 400 marks and above rose to 9,846 from 5,943 in 2016.
Those who scored below 100 marks dropped from 6,747 in 2016 to 2,360 in 2017.
