Games: Nyandarua eye glory in county games

Nyandarua Governor Francis Kimemia has called on games officials to be non-partisan in this year's Inter-County Sports and Cultural Association (KICOSCA) games in Machakos.

“Our hope in this year’s edition is that our legendary success will not be punished through arbitrary decisions on the pitch,” said Kimemia in a statement read by the county's Executive Committee Member in charge of Youth, Sport and the Arts, Dominic Ngugi.

Nyandarua is known for its prowess in athletics and is home to John Ngugi, the late Samuel Wanjiru and Bidan Karoki, among others. Nyandarua will compete in volleyball, darts, pool table and athletics. [Dennis Okeyo]
