National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate Raila Odinga has appealed to his supporters across the country to remain peaceful ahead of what he considers a decisive week.

He urged his supporters to coexist with President Uhuru Kenyatta’s supporters, saying they should not be vilified because of supporting Jubilee.

“It is my humble appeal to our people that no single Luo should dare attack a Kikuyu doing business in our community or destroy their property in any part of the country whatsoever. I beg you. Don’t kill anyone because of politics,” he appealed.

Speaking in Kisumu on Friday, the NASA flag-bearer also called on his supporters to maintain peace with the Kalenjin saying their support for Deputy President William Ruto is their choice.

He at the same time, told his followers to love their Abagusii brothers who are in support of Acting Security Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i, despite police brutality meted on protestors during demos.

The former Prime Minister said he has a long established political following both in Kikuyu and Kalenjin, where he has been baptised with various names befitting a king.

“Kalenjins call me Arap Mibei. Kikuyus call me Jamba. Many others call me Baba,” he said.
