Land dispute: 27-year old man brutally murdered in Makueni

Police in Makueni County are yet to arrest three people allegedly brothers who are suspected to be behind the brutal killing of their own brother over land wrangles.

 The 27 year old man was cruelly killed on Friday at Yaumba village, Nziu location in Makueni Sub County, Makueni County after a land dispute ensued among the family members.

According to the Makueni Sub County Officer Commanding Police Division (OCPD) Mr Bosita Omukolongolo, the deceased Kyalo Ngilu was killed after a land tussle emerged among the brothers where he was stabbed several times on different parts of his body with a knife.

The police boss said that the lifeless body was later discovered in the nearby thicket some hours later by a village elder at around 3am, hours after he had been killed.

After the heinous act, the killers tried to set ablaze the body. 

“The assailants tried to burn his body but only clothes managed to be burnt but the body remained intact without much burns,” said Mr Omukholongolo as reported by the village elder.

The body of the deceased is at the Makueni Funeral Home awaiting for a postmortem to be conducted.
