Former MP promises Raila Odinga perfect delivery of North Eastern votes

Opposition leaders are set to conduct aggressive campaigns in the North Eastern region in order to garner a majority of the votes for NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga, according to former Balambala Member of Parliament Abdikadir Aden.

Aden stated that the North Eastern region was a National Super Alliance – affiliated zone which was deceived to vote for the Jubilee Party in the run-up to the August 8th election.

The Orange Democratic Movement Organising Secretary, speaking on Friday 22nd September in Garissa Town, accused the Jubilee Government of not initiating any commendable project in the region, saying that residents have lost confidence in the party.

"We are going to work day and night to make sure that Raila clinches all the North Eastern votes in the repeat poll," said Aden, according to The Standard

He also asked the Somali and Muslim communities in North Eastern to stand behind Raila, saying that they stand to benefit more if he is elected President.

The repeat presidential election is slated for October 26th 2017, a date which NASA seems not to agree with, saying that their demand should be met first before they walk into another election.
