Harambee Starlets will now face Mauritius in their second match of the Council of Southern Africa Football Associations following their 5-2 win over Mozambique in a Group B clash on Thursday at Luveve Stadium.

Starlets coach Richard Kanyi said: “The team played well and we are now focusing on our next fixture against Mauritius. We are taking a match at a time.”

Starlets, who are gracing the competition as guests, have to win their remaining matches to top the group, a result that will book them a semi-final slot. Mauritius will be seeking their first win in the competition after suffering a 3-0 defeat from Swaziland.

Hat-trick heroine, Neddy Atieno, who was also named player of the match against Mozambique, will be expected to continue with her scoring prowess alongside Mwanahalima Adam.

“It feels great to score three goals. I thank my teammates for team spirit and playing a good match,” Atieno said.
