NASA leaders meet, lay down strategies to protect Raila votes

NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga

National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders met in Nairobi on Thursday to lay down plans that will ensure Raila Odinga’s votes are safeguarded.

Former Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama, Kibra Member of Parliament Ken Okoth, Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris and Former Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero were among NASA leaders who attended that meeting.

Johnson Muthama who is now the chief campaigner of NASA party in Nairobi said Raila’s votes in the August 8, election were stolen and manipulated and they will not allow the same to happen in the forthcoming election.

“Among the issues raised is that Raila’s votes were stolen and manipulated that is why Supreme Court disqualified President Uhuru Kenyatta’s win and ordered fresh presidential election,” said Muthama.

The leaders condemned the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) for setting election date to be October 17 without consulting NASA team.

NASA leaders said they will stage major campaigns to garner more votes and they will not allow any irregularities in the October 17 election.

“Kenyans want justice that is when peace can prevail in Kenya and it is responsibility of Kenyans to choose a leader who will bring peace and justice and that is Raila Odinga,” said Kidero.
