Jubilee is expected to nominate nine women to take up the nine slots in the county assembly after men won all the 20 elective seats.

The party will enjoy monopoly in the county assembly after it won all the seats in last week's elections.

Maendeleo Chap Chap, Narc-Kenya and the Democratic Party fielded candidates in most of the 20 wards but did not capture any seat. However, several candidates won as independents.

They include Kinyua wa Wangui (Mutira), Mathew Ireri (Ngariama), Andrew Gitari (Inoe), Simon Kiragu (Gathigiriri) and Gudson Muchina of Tebere. All had missed Jubilee tickets during nominations.

The independents make 25 per cent of the house.
