The Mathare Youth Sports Association (MYSA) Under-14 boys' team left for Norway yesterday morning to take part in the annual Norway Cup tournament. 

The tournament kicks off on July 30 and will run until August 4 during which more than 4,000 matches will be played.

After the tournament, the team will be in Holland for one week to take part in a number of friendly matches and specialised training before returning home in mid-August. 

Apart from the football tournament, the team will also be involved in various cultural events during their two-week trip.

Team players that travelled to Norway are Lennox Kimani, Fredrick Inyanza, Faiz Ouma, Fidel Brandon, Jacob Otieno, Andres Odhiambo, Eugene Kola and Teddy Onyango (captain).

Others are Alex Warai, Sigmunn Maina, Ryan Wesley, Dancan Omondi, Wesley Maziguru, Solomon Matindi, Paul Mutuku and Benjamin Siboke.

Mathare United chairman Bob Munro also accompanied the team.
