Senatorial aspirant Karungo wa Thang'wa has refuted claims that he has a signed unity pact with Governor William Kabogo.

Reports appearing in a section of the media last week indicated that Mr Thangw'a, who is running as an independent candidate, had closed ranks with Mr Kabogo.

The reports followed the governor's decision to invite Thangw'a to address the congregation at the African Independent Pentecostal Church of Africa in Thika town.

Speaking in Ruiru at the weekend, Thangw'a said it was wrong for journalists to jump to such conclusions just because Kabogo invited him to greet the congregation.
