Nakuru suit on Jubilee nominations withdrawn

A case filed by losers in the Jubilee Party primaries, challenging a list of nominees to the county assemblies and Parliament, has been thrown out.

The party argued petitioners did not follow the procedure requiring them to first file the case with the Political Parties Tribunal before going to court.

Also, Jubilee argued the court lacked jurisdiction to hear the case. "The court finds the application by Nkauraki Lesidai and 42 others fatally defective and does not raise a prima facie case with a probability of success.

I hereby allow the application by Jubilee Party to have the matter dismissed," said High Court judge Anthony Ndung'u.
