National Super Alliance (NASA) co-principal Musalia Mudavadi has been sued by an organisation cited by NASA as having played a part in the alleged conspiracy to award Al Ghurair printing company the tender to print ballot papers.

Mount Kenya Foundation is accusing Mudavadi of issuing defamatory statements against it. Mudavadi is said to have alleged that the foundation’s office in Parklands was the venue of secret meetings led by President Uhuru Kenyatta, Deputy President William Ruto, IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba and Director of Election Operations Immaculate Kasait that hatched plan that would see the tender awarded to the Dubai-based firm.

“.... on 14 June, 2017, you published and/or caused to be published a libelous and defamatory article titled, “NASA press statement: Award of tender to Al Ghurair print and publishing company,” read part of the court paper.
