The country's premier training college for hospitality is on its knees, the latest audit report has revealed. As per the report by Auditor General Edward Ouko, Kenya Utalii College faces closure. The report warned that operations at the learning institution will grind to a halt unless the Government intervenes by pumping in funds.
According to the 2015/16 Financial Year report tabled in the National Assembly, the institution recorded an accumulated fund deficit of Sh658.73 million in the past two years, while its current liabilities stand at Sh3.05 billion.
