Jubilee governor nominee Anne Waiguru has said she has nothing personal against her political competitors.

Ms Waiguru however said since residents spoke loudly in her favor during the party primaries on April 24, they (opponents) should respect the verdict.

"Now that people have spoken, there is nothing left except for the losers to wait until 2022 when they can try their luck again," she said.

The former Devolution Cabinet secretary said she held no grudge against Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua, Governor Joseph Ndathi or anyone else seeking the same seat, adding that her rivals should read the signs of the times.

Speaking after receiving her nomination certificate from party officials at Sifa Resort in Kutus town on Saturday, Waiguru reminded her competitors that since the county was a Jubilee zone, voting on August 8 would be a 'six-piece suit' affair.

The term is used to describe voting for the same party or coalition in all six positions on the ballot.
