KDF to stay and pacify Somalia, says Uhuru Kenyatta

President Uhuru Kenyatta has said the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) will continue to be part of the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM).

The President further proposed that AMISOM, an active regional peacekeeping mission operated by the African Union (AU) with the approval of the United Nations in Somalia, be transformed into a UN Peace Keeping Mission.
