Man gets arrested after pinching Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko

Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko has had his fair share of drama since he came into the political scene. From punching walls to crying on national television, the millionaire politician always has Kenyans guessing on what will happen next once he appears on TV. Did you know that you could get arrested for pinching a top dog in government? Yes, a pinch is seen as a very serious threat to a person’s life, more so if this person is a top politician.

Talk about being fragile, or better yet, talk about being protected, Mike Sonko got a man arrested allegedly for trying to pinch him as he pretended to want to greet the Nairobi senator. The man, dressed in blue, was at Bidii Primary School, the same venue where the senator went to cast his vote for the Jubilee Nairobi primaries.

The individual was immediately arrested by security personnel the minute he pinched the senator and was thrown at the back of a police vehicle, possibly to be detained for a period of time before he answers for his ‘crime’.

Now what baffles me is if this man appears in court, what will he be charged for? How do you describe a pinch in court and produce a charge that would fit the crime? This indeed would be the most funny court proceeding ever and the man would have himself to blame if he ends up in jail.

Lesson: People in government are fragile, even a pinch could get you locked up in jail.

At the time, Mike Sonko and Peter Kenneth squared it out as people cast their votes to elect the Jubilee candidate to vie for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat. Bishop Margaret Wanjiru was arrested for trying to disrupt the Nairobi primaries. She is to appear in court this morning after she spent the night at a police station in Parklands.

It is safe to say that she suffered pinch after pinch yesterday as it was already clear that Sonko and Kenneth were way ahead in numbers and disruption of the polls was the only way she could make a comeback.

Salute to Mike Sonko’s protectors who were 100 per cent alert on all bodily harm done to the senator and we now wait to see what will happen to the ‘pincher.’
