Ugandan police frustrating us, say Kenyan fishermen

Kenyan fishermen on islands in Lake Victoria have accused Ugandan police of unlawfully arresting them. Those in Ringiti, Remba, Kiwa, Migingo, Mfangano, and Takawiri islands said this was to stop them from fishing in the lake.

 Sienga Beach Management Unit chairman Michael Ochieng' complained that Kenyan security officials were not doing anything to protect them.
