Amani National Coalition party leader Musalia Mudavadi has warned that the National Super Alliance (NASA) will hold President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto to account for billions of taxpayers' money and borrowed funds spent during the Jubilee regime.

Mr Mudavadi, who expressed confidence that the NASA agreement will hold until August 8 to send Jubilee leaders home, said they would also target Leader of Majority in the National Assembly Adan Duale and former Devolution Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru for probe over misuse of public funds.

Speaking during a rally at Caltex grounds in Likoni, Mombasa County, on Sunday evening, Mudavadi said that unlike President Kenyatta and Ruto who 'cheated' him on Jubilee presidential ticket in 2013, NASA leaders Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Muyoka, Moses Wetang'ula and himself were honest and serious in their resolve to back one of them to challenge the incumbent president.

He told supporters that he initiated NASA so as to end the Jubilee leadership after realising that none of the opposition leaders could remove Jubilee from power in isolation.

Vihiga Senator George Khaniri claimed that the Jubilee Government has borrowed a whopping Sh3.7 trillion within four years of its regime compared to Sh800 billion in retired President Mwai Kibaki's 10-year administration.

The rally was also addressed by ANC national chairman Kevin Lunani, deputy party leader Kassim Sawa, Likoni parliamentary aspirant Bernard Waore and his Nyali counterpart Japheth Marine Otieno, among others.
