Nairobi Water women’s volleyball team head coach Joseph Waiganjo has dismissed claims that he has been sacked. Reports had indicated that Waiganjo, whose side will not honour today’s Kenya Volleyball Federation opening leg in Nyeri, has parted ways with the club.

“I have not been sacked. I am still the head coach. We had some internal issues but they have been solved. A lot has been said since the team failed to do our preseason training. Those are just but rumours, I am still in charge of the team,” Waiganjo told Feverpitch.

“However, we will skip the Nyeri leg and play in Ndakaini. We cannot go Nyeri to play yet we haven’t trained.”
