I'll rely on voters and God to win governor's seat, says Kiraitu

Meru Senator Kiraitu Murungi yesterday said he was confident of winning the county gubernatorial seat and only needed the support of the voters and God.

He was responding to a report that a juju man had attended his strategy meeting in Imenti South. "I have been meeting leaders from all the sub-counties and we had a successful discussion at South Imenti.

The 'juju man' in attendance was in jest. Our campaign is people-driven and led by God," said Murungi. On Sunday, Tigania East MP Mpuru Aburi amazed a crowd at Murungi's Kiigene home at the weekend when he introduced a Meru witchdoctor who endorsed the senator's bid.
