BLOODY VALENTINE

The National Super Alliance hopes to woe KANU into a working relationship has hit a snag as President Uhuru Kenyatta presses the right button to seek KANU's support in his re-election bid.

Going with the influence that KANU has in Rift valley region it will provide a major boost to jubilee party as they try to consolidate all the Rift Valley votes.

It is through the meeting the president had with the retired president Moi on Friday that earned Jubilee support from KANU.Earlier on the Chairman of KANU who is also the Baringo senator Gideon Moi had hinted that as a party they needed time to consult so that they can decide which direction they should take.

However, Nick Salat had also said that Kanu was set to join NASA a report that was later dismissed by KANU members saying that that was his person decision.

It is now clear that KANU will not field a presidential candidate rather they will throw their weight behind Uhuru Kenyatta re-election.

NASA members have been constantly seeking a merger with KANU but their efforts have not yielded any fruits. They are now left with the option of seeking the backing of the Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto.

From the initially look of things NASA thought they will carry the day owing to the relationship of the Deputy President William Ruto and KANU chairman Gideon Moi.

Meanwhile, Uhuru Kenyatta was asked by the retired president to ensure that he unites the country head of the August polls.
