Police in Central region have advised motorists to be wary of five black spots, which they described as notorious and prone to accidents.

Central Traffic Commander Jane Kuria said police had identified several hot spots stretching from the Thika super-highway to Kirinyaga County.

She said the notable ones include Gwa Kairu in Ruiru, Weteithi in Thika and the four-kilometre stretch from Kambiti trading centre to Sagana River that goes to Samson Corner.

"Motorists should be extra careful while driving in the Sagana-Kambiti area where the road is under construction," she said.
