A section of Jubilee Party interim officials in Isiolo and Marsabit were conducted peacefully after rival camps reached consensus and shared out slots.

It was a tense moment for incumbents and aspirants eyeing the ticket in Isiolo as the exercise ended at around 6pm on Friday.

Police erected two barriers at the Senior Police Officers’ Mess where only authorised persons were allowed.

Anti-Riot Police squad was also on stand-by to deal with rowdy crowd that had gathered outside the compound.

The two camps revolve around Governor Godana Doyo and his main challenger, Abdul Bahari, the chairman of Tana and Athi Rivers Development Authority.
